  17. It's not a conflict; your sound driver is masking interrupts in order to 
  18. ensure that its timing-sensitive operations are not interrupted, and this is 
  19. causing data to be lost on the serial port.  Unfortunately this symptom of 
  20. poor design and implementation is far too common with DOS and Windows drivers.
