- It's not a conflict; your sound driver is masking interrupts in order to
- ensure that its timing-sensitive operations are not interrupted, and this is
- causing data to be lost on the serial port. Unfortunately this symptom of
- poor design and implementation is far too common with DOS and Windows drivers.
